PLEASE NOTE: Our summer program is an extension of the current school year;
Current AlphaMinds students should enroll into the same level classes they have been attending in the Spring session/current school year.
New students - please contact us for correct placement.
FEES and PAYMENTS:
Annual Registration Fee: $35 for new students (not applied to students enrolled during the 2021/22 school year)
Rates & Tuition*: Our base rates are $15 for 30 min online class | $25 for 45 min in-person class | $26 for 60 min online class | $29 for 60 min in-person class |$39 for 90 min online class.
Tuition is charged per session.
Special Discounts: 10% discount for siblings | 15% discount for 3rd class (applied to in-person classes only)
Accepted Forms of Payments: credit cards, Zelle
Payment Plans are available at the time of the registration (must pay by credit card to use the payment plan)
*cost of math books is not included in the tuition
Please note: We require to have a minimum enrollment of 5 children to hold each class. In case the minimum enrollment is not met, we will postpone the start of those classes where the enrollment is not met

CHESS CLASSES (Gr. K-10)
Our Summer Chess Program is the perfect way to introduce the game of chess to new students, deepen understanding of the game for established players, or offer intensive instruction for aspiring chess masters.
Our chess coaches provide engaging and stimulating lessons, puzzles, and play to help guide students through each session. Children will enjoy learning and playing the game along with other students who share their interest and love for chess.
Practice Chess Tournaments takes place in Alpha Minds Academy’s private virtual chess club on www.chess.com;

CODING CLASSES (Gr. 2-10)

CODING WITH SCRATCH: BEGINNERS – Grades 2-5; for children who are new to coding or have had limited exposure to block based coding; Each class is 1.5 hours

CODING WITH SCRATCH: INTERMEDIATE - Grades 3-6; for children who were enrolled into our Scratch Beginners II-III and Intermediate level classes during school year 2021-2022 and for students with extensive prior experience with Scratch; Each class is 1 hour

CODING WITH SCRATCH: EXPERT - Grades 4-6; for children who were enrolled into our Scratch Expert level classes during school year 2021-2022 ; Each class is 1 hour

CREATIVE WRITING CLASSES (Gr. 3-8)
Our interactive lessons are designed to be engaging, challenging, and customized to meet each student's academic needs. In a fun, rewarding, and encouraging environment, students learn how to communicate through writing, while exploring their imagination and creativity!

LOGIC CLASSES (Gr. PreK & K)
Our summer Logic K classes focus on teaching logic and critical thinking skills through various activities that are both challenging and fun. Topics include Classifications, Matching and Sorting, Reasoning with Analogies, Word Problems and Aural Reasoning, Simple and Complex Patterns and Arithmetics.
Our summer classes will also include Yoga and light Meditation/Mindfulness exercises designed to help children with focus and concentration, and to have fun!

MATH CLASSES (Gr. 1-10)
Our summer Math program will focus on reinforcing and expanding the knowledge our students obtained during the course of the school year, while focusing on advanced mathematical problem solving skills, as well as further developing students' logic and critical thinking skills through a series of fun, yet challenging activities.

READING CLASSES (Gr. PreK-2)
Our reading classes are taught in a very interactive and engaging way, by integrating various media, games and songs, as well as other activities designed to keep young students' focus and interest.

READING I: PHONICS for EMERGING READERS – for children in PreK and K. To promote learning and reinforcement of the new skills, level I classes meet twice per week, for 30 minutes.

READING II: FLUENCY for THE RISING READERS – for children in grades 1-2 (younger students by assessment)

RUSSIAN LANGUAGE PROGRAM FOR HERITAGE SPEAKERS

Ever wonder why rubbing a balloon on your head makes your hair stand up?
Together, we will use materials you have at home to investigate electrostatics and magnetism. Every class will have at least one hands-on experiment!
